Gatego’s Automated Gate is an all-in-one access control solution designed to let trucks check in and out of your yard without the need for a guard. It combines hardware, AI, and cloud software to automate the process of identifying, validating, and logging every vehicle that enters or exits your facility.
How It Works
Arrival and QR Scan: Each driver scans a QR code posted at the gate, which immediately launches a phone call to your yard’s dedicated AI Voice Agent line.
AI Voice Agent Verification: The call is answered by Gatego’s AI Voice Agent, which recognizes the driver’s phone number. This allows the system to verify their identity from a whitelist, greet them by name, and retrieve information such as their truck or carrier details already linked to their profile.
Register Check In / Check Out: The AI Voice Agent asks the necessary questions to register the driver’s check in or check out. These questions are tailored to your operation and can include items such as:
Trailer number
loaded/empty status
Any additional custom information required for your workflow. The question flow is fully configurable per yard and use case.
System Decision & Gate Control: If everything is correctly verified and validated, Gatego updates your yard dashboard in real time and sends an opens the gate automatically. The driver receives clear voice instructions on where to park or how to proceed. If any errors are detected, we transfer the call to your support team for remote verification.
What You NeedTo enable a fully automated setup, the following components are needed:
Fixed Cameras: We recommend 3 cameras per lane one fisheye camera facing the truck and two mini cameras monitoring each trailer side per lane. Can be setup with less or additional cameras to capture specific information. We recommend Verkada but are agnostic to any camera brand.
Motorized gate or gate barrier: We recommend Magnetic Access or Lift Master
